It's been a driech day today, and yesterday, and the day before, and the day before that. But the week before that Vancouver shone in all its springtime glory. We spent May Day at the beach for some much needed family time in the midst of a busy few weeks. More on that later, but here's a peak at a lazy morning in the wind and sun, drinking coffee and building sandcastles.
Around lunchtime, we all shared an order of Pad Thai from across the street. Some noodles inevitably ended up in the sand, which then became "sandworms". Cora's imagination leads to all kinds of role-playing these days, for which the whole family must join in. (I'm usually Rabbit (or Eeyore depending on my mood), David: Tigger, Cora: Pooh Bear, and Hannah: Piglet.) Well, worms are immediately associated with her friend Clay, who is a boy of all boys and is constantly grossing Cora and Charlotte out with his very boyish shenanigans. Like worms. He and his parents Dana and Justin are a very important part of our family's life, as you can see. So much so that it looks like Cora wants to be in their family....
